4 OFFICERS OUSTED FOR RACIAL DEPICTIONS

Three police officers were fired from the Fort Lauderdale Police Department for sending racist texts and a video to each other- a 4th officer resigned before he was fired. The officers fired were Jason Holding, James Wells, and Christopher Sousa; Alex Alvarez resigned during the investigation. The video contained derogatory images of President Obama and racial slurs pertaining to Hispanics and homosexuals, said Police Chief, Frank Adderley. According to a police report, the officers criticized co-workers’ appearance and work ethic, disparaged the President, by depicting him in a racial stereotypical racist manner (gold chain, etc.) and even referenced the Klu Klux Klan .  The officers had claimed to be just joking around. The depiction was discovered by an ex- fiancé of one of the officers who snitched them out.
