A child’s book author and her husband, who works at Lockheed Martin, were arrested in Seminole County, Florida, on horrific child abuse charges
The children, locked away, hadn't seen any other adults for years
A child’s book author and her husband, who works at Lockheed Martin, were arrested in Seminole County, Florida, on multiple criminal counts over the abuse of their three adopted children. The two are identified as Joseph and Jennifer Wolfthal.
Following interviews with the children, it was alleged that the two inflicted multiple harms to them. One child suffered from a staff infection, renal and liver failure, and pneumonia in both lungs. There are also signs of skin infections, open wounds, and evidence that the children were malnourished.
According to the Arrest-Affidavit, Joseph and Jennifer allegedly locked their three adopted children up in their rooms for days and weeks at a time with no showers and little food,
The children hadn’t seen any other adults in several years, and one child said she “spent virtually all of her time locked alone in her bedroom” and “tried to keep track of the days and months by counting in her head,” according to police reports.
“One of the children told investigators the main punishment occurred every night when their parents would pour cold water over them while they lay in bed. The girl told investigators she would have to drink the water from the puddle to breathe.” Partial Source: Kiro 7.
