Kids in cages, the passage of time is exposing Biden’s ruses
A maxim in logic is that it’s easier to make a false claim than disprove one
“Dozens of migrant teens boarded vans Monday for the trip down a dusty road to a former man camp for oil field workers here, the first migrant child facility opened under the Biden administration.
The emergency facility — a vestige of the Trump administration that was open for only a month in summer 2019 — is ‘being reactivated to hold up to 700 children ages 13 to 17.
Immigration lawyers and advocates question why the Biden administration would choose to reopen a Trump-era facility that was the source of protests and controversy.
It’s unnecessary, it’s costly, and it goes absolutely against everything [President] Biden promised he was going to do,” said Linda Brandmiller, a San Antonio-based immigration lawyer who represents unaccompanied minors. ‘It’s a step backward, is what it is. It’s a huge step backward.’” SOURCE: The Washington Post
Jen Psaki fields a question from a reporter on the issue of caging.
Biden used the “kids in cages” sound bite to help him whip up visceral angst against Donald Trump. He didn’t honestly mention that Biden and Obama had the “cages” erected.
A maxim in logic is that it’s easier to make a false claim than disprove one. For example, a claim that X stole my billfold; it doesn’t matter that X did not steal the billfold; the accusation alone often carries the day for the liar, and the more falsehoods uttered, the more significant their impact and energy exerted to correct them. Biden had to know this. The passage of time is exposing his ruses.
