Mara Gay’s concept of “whiteness” and her alleged distorted belief that white people fear sharing America with others (minorities) is total hogwash
The New York Time's editorial board member trashes white folks
On Tuesday, New York Times editorial board member Mara Gay graced MSNBC’s Morning Joe and ranted about a trip she took to Long Island this past weekend.
She said that Trump voters believe that “their rights as citizens are under threat by simple virtue of having to share democracy with others” and see “Americanness as whiteness.”

“I was on Long Island this weekend and visiting a dear friend, and I was disturbed. I saw, you know, dozens and dozens of pick-up trucks with expletives against Joe Biden on the back of them, Trump flags, and in some cases just dozens of American flags which, you know, is also just disturbing because essentially the message was clear. It was: ‘This is my country, this is not your country, I own this. Source: yahoo.com
It is clear to us that Gay does not like Americans who support the core values of this country. Flying American flags is a patriotic act in this country, at least for those who have supported our military and Constitution without hesitation.
We think many minority American citizens share our patriotic views. Gay’s concept of “whiteness” and her alleged distorted belief that white people fear sharing America with others (minorities) is total hogwash. She has a problem with white people in general.
