Aging feminists have launched an attack on younger females who support Bernie Sanders, castigating them for their failure to recognize the importance of electing the first woman President. In a radical statement, Madeleine Albright said about these young women, “There is a special place in hell for women who don’t help each other.” Gloria Steinem added that this younger crop of female supporters (roughly between the ages of 18-34) of the “Feel the Bern” revolution were not serious voters, they were attending the rallies to meet boys. “When you’re young, you’re thinking, where are the boys? The boys are with Bernie”, she said. Many of Sander’s supporters reacted predictably angrily and denounced the attacks as sexist. Can you imagine if Donald Trump had made these comments? He would have immediately been called a sexist or worse. The position these women are taking is another example of aging feminists (Steinem is 81) being out of touch with modern female voters.
