The speech Bill Clinton will present tonight about his wife and the Democratic nomination for President is being touted as genuinely personal, a description of Hillary that only a husband could identify. That is a formidable task considering Clinton’s public exposure over the past four decades– it seems we already know everything about Hillary.
But friends say that that Bill is extraordinarily pumped up about this address—“ it means a great deal to the former President” his supporters say. Aides say he has principally written the speech himself and that in his mind, “it is the most significant talk he has made in the past ten years.” We doubt he will be discussing her association with the Clinton Foundation or any of the other shady deals the two have been involved in.
The “most important speech in the past decade?”– wow(!), what are the people who have been paying “Slick Willy” more than $500,000 per speech going to say about that. We hope that the aging and slight booster can live up to expectations tonight, and we will listen and give our opinions after his praising of his wife is over.
