Bill Cosby today was sentenced to three to ten years following his conviction for sexual assault against Andrea Constand by judge Steven O’Neill. His lawyers say they would appeal. The conviction has invoked a wide variety of emotional responses.
One Cosby sympathizer said, “Far more predatory than a man serially intoxicating women to perform some tactile sex act is a system that does the bidding of hysterical, cheering lynchers buoyed by the caging of a blind man.”
Others have said that they were “glad that judgment day has finally come for Mr. Cosby” and that he “has shown no remorse.”
