Chicago Homicides 2014-2015
According to around-the-clock reports by the Chicago Tribune, the present number of homicides that occurred in Chicago from January, 2015, through the present date is 48 (New York is at 40 for the year). . There were 432 homicides in Chicago in all of 2014. The paper has painstakingly mapped out the locations of each of the murders and then provided a news story about the individual cases. An example includes the February fatal stabbing of Antonio Gambia, a 23-year-old man, who was at a party when he tried to intervene in a fight between another man and woman.
