Back in January of this year, Donald Trump told FOX News that Brussels was rapidly becoming radicalized and was harboring terrorists and the U.S. Needs to be concerned. The New York Times went into attack mode the very next day and accused Trump of signaling out another city for his disparaging insults. Last week we all seen in real time how a group of terrorists, entrenched in Brussels without detection, slaughtered numerous innocent civilians. The Times never re-addressed Trump’s premonitions, and instead, found other ways to attack him. Even Gov. Terry of Texas said Trump has great instincts. Cruz, meanwhile, has made zero inciteful predictions and instead has relied on the support of a number of “establishment” supporters to try to derail the Trump train. Some insiders believe that Cruz’s decision to capitulate to the establishment (and the billionaire donor class) will turn off large numbers of new Republican voters who have rejected the establishment. It is a big risk for Cruz to take– we think this will backfire and incense voters who feel betrayed by the establishment.
