Democratic Convention Was a Disappointment With Only 17 Million Viewers
The virtual Democratic convention attracted 17 million viewers, a number roughly 25 percent lower than normal. Many of those who tuned in quickly tuned out (5million or so) as it became apparent that the event consisted of a series of scripted and often noninspirational speeches.
From the predictable ramblings of Michelle Obama to the goofy remarks of John R. Kasich, the event was a washout.
Next week, the Republicans will hold their convention. We expect a higher number of viewers with a classier format. People will tune in to see Trump, whereas not many people are enthusiastic about listening to Biden, a man who may be suffering from a brain deficiency and handled by a committee. Who knows, time will tell.
