GANG MEMBER AND DRUG DEALER ARRESTED FOR THE MURDER OF HIS GIRLFRIEND WHO WAS THE MOTHER OF A 4-MONTH AND 4-YEAR OLD IN ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA
Update below, De Jesus found guilty
Reputed gang-member. John Michael DeJesus (28) was arrested for the first-degree murder of his 22-year-old girlfriend; she was the mother of two children who were 4-months and 4-years-old. Yoliz Marie DeJesus Borrero was found dead, and according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, only one shot had been fired. Police report that DeJesus had originally claimed she had been killed during a home-invasion involving three masked and armed men; the police have now discounted that version. DeJesus and the two children were not injured. At first, DeJesus had been charged only with drug possession and being a felon in possession of a weapon- he bailed out of jail on those charges and was back in jail for the murder charge. Policed also report that he was previously convicted of a sex offense and was a known gang- member. He was denied a bond this morning at his first appearance in court. DeJesus is presumed to be innocent.
UPDATE: A found DeJesus guilty of killing his girlfriend while her two young children were nearby.
Detectives say John DeJesus shot and killed 22-year-old Yoliz-Marie Borrero inside her home on Millrace Court in 2014.
