Joseph E. Stiglitz is a professor at Columbia University, and he has written a short piece for Project Syndicate wherein he asks (allegedly on behalf of foreigners who simply want to know– we doubt foreigners really care), how did the Donald Trump candidacy get so “far in the first place”?
THE LIBERAL PROFESSOR’S PREMISE IS WRONG BY HIS OWN ADMISSION.
He starts out by saying that “Clinton is one of the most qualified and well prepared presidential candidates that the United States has had, while Trump is one of the least qualified and worst prepared.”
THE LIBERAL UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR CONCEDES THAT THE AMERICAN ECONOMY IS WORSE THAN IT WAS 25 YEARS AGO UNDER HILLARY CLINTON’S WATCH AND CONTROL.
But then he concedes that “Americans are economically worse off than they were a quarter-century ago. The median income of full-time male employees is lower than it was 42 years ago, and it is increasingly difficult for those with limited education to get a full-time job that pays decent wages.”
THE AMERICAN WORKER IS TIRED OF GETTING THE SHORT END OF THE STICK.
That is the problem with Clinton supporters who preach from the ivory towers of liberal Universities– they intend to ignore the obvious to reach their biased opinions. Try this Mr. Stiglitz: Truck drivers, plumbers, construction workers, factory workers, nurses, farmers and families who are living pay check to pay check are sick and tired of getting the short end of the stick. As you say, the economy is worse than it was a “quarter-century ago”. Well, that is the period when Hillary Clinton has been in power.
HILLARY CLINTON FAILED THE AMERICAN WORKER, SHE KNOWS IT, AND NOW IS DESPERATELY RELYING ON AFRICAN AMERICAN VOTES, A LARGE SEGMENT OF THE POPULATION SHE HAS ALSO FAILED.
Clinton has had her chance and proved she can not get things done where the economy or social issues are concerned. The economy has worsened under her watch (as the professor points out) and she has slighted African Americans by calling young black males “super predators” and by abandoning the inner metropolitan areas.
TRUMP MAY SAY SOME SILLY THINGS AT TIMES BUT AT LEAST HE HAS A PROVEN TRACK RECORD IN THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY.
Trump represents a new voice, and he has established that he knows how to win at business deals. His fresh ideas are exactly what the economy desperately needs. Old and tired economic theories and principles advanced by the professor and his type, have led to the downfall of the economy. How can one-half of the American voting base be wrong and Professors (and economists– who often are operating from academic theory), always be right? Such self-righteous and inaccurate opinions play well in the academic (fiction-world) but not in the real American economy.
