HILLARY CLINTON’S PROPENSITY TO LIE ABOUT MOST DETAILS REACHES LIKELY RECORD UNFAVORABILITY LEVELS IN PENNSYLVANIA AND OTHER SWING STATES AMONG WHITE BLUE-COLLAR VOTERS
The Republican and Democrat candidates for Gov. in Pennsylvania have been equal in the past ten elections– 5-5. The Democrats have fared much better in Presidential bids– the DEMS have beat the GOP 7-3 in the last ten elections. The favorability ratings of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are close– 50% rate Trump low– 54% are down on Clinton.
Clinton is expected to clean up in the major cities where the minority population is high. In 2012, for example, Philadelphia gave Obama 500,000 more votes than Mitt Romney. Pittsburgh turned out similarly. The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area, southwestern part of the state, and the Erie area are leaning strongly for Trump.
Clinton is not expected to get the black vote out to the extent that Obama has in both of his elections. Moreover, the older white voters, many who are veterans (a group that favors Trump) will help to cut into the liberal large city bases that Democrats typically have in Pennsylvania and across the country. The race promises to be close notwithstanding Clinton’s 5-1 paid staff advantage in the state. Of primary concern to white, blue-collar voters is Hillary Clinton’s propensity to lie about almost any controversy she becomes associated with. Some believe that over 75 percent of these voters deem her to be dishonest.
