MOTHER, DAUGHTER MISSING- LONG ISLAND

UPDATE: April 20, 2015: The mother and daughter were found unharmed. The details of their odd disappearance have not been disclosed.

A Greenport woman, Iona Costello (51), and her 14-year-old daughter, Emily, have been missing from their Long Island North Folk residence since March 30th.  The mother and daughter had gone to New York City to see some shows and have not been heard from since.  Iona’s car was discovered in a parking garage in Manhattan on Wednesday night.

Emily Costello, 14, is the only child of Iona and her late husband, George.

Iona Costello's car was found in a parking garage on 42nd Street.

Iona had been married to George Costello, a partner in Costello Marine Contracting before he died of a reported heart attack in 2013 while aboard a boat. She was living at her farm on the North Folk where she raises animals.
