R&B superstar R. Kelly was indicted Friday on charges he sexually abused or assaulted  four victims, three of them underage throughout a dozen years

The four separate indictments charged Kelly with a combined ten counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse for alleged misconduct occurring between 1998 and 2010. The authorities accused him of aggravated criminal sexual abuse involving four victims, three of whom were underage, according to the Cook County state’s attorney, Kim Foxx. Aggravated criminal sexual abuse can carry a sentence of three to seven years in prison for each count. Mr. Kelly, whose real name is Robert Kelly, faces 10 of them, the NYT’S reports. Bond was set at $1 million.

Meanwhile the publicity-seeking news-hound  attorney, Michael Avenatti has surfaced in the case. He has said that he turned a video over to authorities that depicted Kelly having sex with a 14-year-old girl.

Kelly was acquitted of a similar charge in the past. We attach little credibility to anything Avenatti says and will wait to hear the evidence adduced at the trial if one is held.
