As the candidates crisscross Wisconsin searching for votes, Donald Trump has picked up additional fodder to add to his tough positions on ISIS and potential terrorists. His promises to “kick the hell out of ISIS” and to screen certain races more carefully have now become more mainstream in political speak across the nation. Even Lindsey Graham, a frequent critic of Donald Trump, has now “flipped script” and came out in support of Trump’s call for additional scrutiny on refugees attempting to come to the United States (This appears to include Muslims). Recognizing that ISIS terrorist groups control a land the size of Indiana, he joins with Trump in calling for troops on the ground in the regions. “As I speak, they are planning another 911 attack”, and we cannot have human intelligence there unless we are in the region, Graham recently said on FOX News. He added that the President’s decision to withdraw all troops from Iraq created ISIS. We need a regional army there, he said. Graham went on to say that Donald Trump was also right when he called for more scrutiny of refugees (which would include Muslims) and that a wall must be built on the Mexican border. Graham had been very critical of Trump in the past, but after the most recent attack in Brussels, he has done a complete 180 and supports Trump on these terrorist-related issues. Graham still supports his former nemesis, Ted Cruz for President, although it now appears, for personal reasons.
