KANSAS MAN SEVERS HEAD OF VICTIM
A man has pled not guilty in connection with charges that he murdered James Gerety from Kansas City, Kansas by garroting- it is alleged that he used a guitar string to accomplish the act. He reportedly shot the man in the stomach first and then tortured him before severing the head which he kept around in a canvas bag for three years- periodically using it for weird purposes including voodoo rituals. The defendant, James Paul Harris (29) is scheduled to go to trial in June of 2014.
