Steve Bannon has Morphed into a Common Variety Snitch
Not all Of President Trump's Responses are Accurate
Steve Bannon has had a vendetta against the Trump children for over a year. His comments in a new book, “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, lay further criticisms against Donald Trump, Jr., Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump (who he says is dumber than a brick), and others. Since his controversial departure from the Trump inner circle at the White House, Bannon has shrunk to a lower level—he has morphed into a snitch, not unlike the common variety of snitches one might expect to find in a routine drug case. The problem with his snitch testimony is that it is unfactual.
Bannon is bitter over his forced removal from the White House—he has become irrelevant. The revelations (some untrue ) in the book reinforce the conclusion that he is rapidly turning into an isolationist groping for attention.
Banner has never accomplished anything close to heroism. He was conveniently missing during former President Carter’s attempt to free American hostages when he was in the Navy. (On April 24, 1980, an operation to rescue the 52 American hostages held in Tehran ended with eight U.S. servicemen dead and no hostages rescued.) In the book “Bannon: Always the Rebel,” the author says that Bannon served aboard the USS Paul F. Foster. His ship assignment included “a two-bed stateroom with desks and a wardrobe area, a comfortable accommodation compared with the warren of bunks where most sailors slept.”
President Trump has recently tweeted that Bannon has lost his mind and that he had a minimal, if any, impact during Trump’s political campaign. The President points out Banner’s unsuccessful endorsement and assistance in the Moore campaign in Alabama. We think Moore lost the race because of the sexual allegations made against him.
OUR FREE OPINION
We cannot agree that Bannon was an ineffective advocate and campaign advisor during the Trump campaign. He was persuasive with a large group of conservative voters who believe that the President has not been conservative enough. Bannon was an active advocate during the numerous campaign events.
In a previous article, we said that before Trump had made any appointments, he should not have his family, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, at the White House. We opined that the whole idea would present a distraction: It affords the liberal media with multiple moving targets. Indeed, Kushner is now embroiled in a special counsel investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia over a meeting Kushner attended at Trump Tower with a Russian lawyer who promised to damage Hillary Clinton’s information. Ivanka is now the target of Bannon, who called her dumb as a brick. Why put your children through this?
