Trump is in a tight race in Wisconsin– some polls have Cruz 10 points ahead of him, although the Marquette poll is questionable. Having said that, Trump is planning to spend substantial time in Wisconsin before the primary on April 5th. Trump continues to gather first-time voters, and to the surprise of many pundits, the vocal and energetic support of young voters. Young voters are increasingly attending his rallies. Two men were quoted in the “Green Bay Press-Gazette”. Emerald Rhoads (19) and James Lindo (20) said Trump is the only candidate “who has a backbone” and that he cares about the issues they care about. They have attended multiple Trump rallies in Iowa and Wisconsin. If the trend of young voters turning out for Trump continues, the race likely will tilt in Trump’s favor. Neither Cruz or Kasich seem to appeal to voters under 30.
