A 16-year-old girl was rescued from a car she was being held captive in after enduring a couple of weeks of beatings, rape and torture inflicted by her one-time boyfriend, Eddie Perez (19) in the central California city of Hanford. The rescuer, Albert Martinez, happened to hear the victim’s muffled cries for help as he passed by the vehicle. Martinez found the hapless young girl barely conscious, crying and having difficulty keeping her bruised eyes open. Perez is alleged to have used a tire iron to beat her as he constrained and raped her. The girl, who was reported missing about two weeks ago, was rushed to the Community Regional Medical Center for surgery. Perez is reported to have tied the girl up when he left her to get food and water. He was being held on 2.45 million dollar bail.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping his 16-year-old girlfriend and beating her with a tire iron over five days.
Eddie Perez, 19, was taken into custody on Saturday night and is facing a list of charges including false imprisonment, kidnapping, rape, and torture.
