Two teenagers were sentenced to 30 years each last Friday for the brutal rape and assault on an 86-year-old woman that occurred on April 17, 2014 at the Camelot senior housing complex in Hemet, California. The boys were 14 and 15 at the time of the attack when they tied up the women, beat her and poured two bottles of bleach over her body and down her throat. They were identified as Ruben Jose Melanson and Raymond Michael Miranda. Judge Judith Clark sentenced them to a juvenile facility until they turn 18 when they will be sent to an adult facility to serve the rest of the 30 years. The victim lived alone with her dog at the time of the attack.
