Sherri Papini, 34, (left) was found by the side of the road on Thursday at 4.30am after flagging down a passing motorist. She was bound by restraints at the time.

Papini went missing on November 2nd while she was jogging near her Redding, California home where she lived with her husband and two children. She was found over 150 miles from her home.

Her sister, Sheila Koester (left) said that Papini (right) usually picks up the couple's two children and jogs in the afternoons. But on the day she went missing the children were left at daycare, which Koester says is not something her sister would do

Shasta County Sheriff Tom Bosenko said police are hunting for two Hispanic women who were armed with a handgun. The women were last seen in a dark-colored SUV. Any possible motive for the kidnapping has yet to be disclosed.

Papini is being treated for non-life threatening injuries Sheriff Tom Bosenko said. Family members had posted a reward for information concerning Papini’s whereabouts and were obviously relieved to learn that she was alive without significant physical injuries.

It has been over six years since the incident and questions have been raised about the legitimacy of the kidnapping. Others have attempted to analyze the incident.
