“Writing for a penny a word is ridiculous. If a man really wants to make a million dollars, the best way should be to start his own religion.” — L. Ron Hubbard
Tom Cruise did not want his former wife Nicole Kidman to attend his son's wedding
Tom Cruise did not want his former wife, Nicole Kidman to attend his son’s wedding, a new report claims. It is unclear whether she even wanted to be at the event. Both Tom Cruise, and his son, Connor Cruise 24, are Scientologists. The son is set to marry his Italian girlfriend Silvia according to the Daily Mail.
Kidman’s opposition to the “teachings” of Scientology doctrine is apparently behind the squabble. “Tom is behind this and what he wants is as good as law,” a source reportedly told RadarOnline.com.

The father and son’s subscription to the ideologies expressed by Scientologists seems to anger Kidman. The angst makes sense given the cult nature of the fringe group and the testimonials of many former members who survived their exodus from the mind-controlling sect.
In the 1940s the cult’s founder, L. Ron Hubbard declared that “Writing for a penny a word is ridiculous. If a man really wants to make a million dollars, the best way should be to start his own religion.”
Hubbard’s words were the first of many red flags to come.
